Structure

The game schedule/format for each category will be determined once all entries have been received and confirmed. The first round of games will begin at midday on day 1 and the last round of games will be completed by 3pm on day 3.

The U12 Boys and U13 Girls Only categories will offer a festival style event with teams playing a series of fixtures that will allow the players to showcase their skills in a friendly but challenging environment. Teams should expect to play a minimum of 6 games over the 3-day period.

The U14 Boys & U15 Girls Only categories will offer a tournament style event with results being recorded and points awarded to determine the winner of the Weir Rose Bowl.

Game Format & Rules

The playing format for all age groups and categories will be 9v9 with games being played on 70m x 50m fields. Full details HERE.

The Retreating Line rule will be in place for the u12 Boys & u13 Girls Only age group games. It does not apply to the u14 Boys & u15 Girls Only age groups.

Game Duration

• u12 Mixed & u13 Girls Only - 50 mins (2x 25 mins with 10min halftime period).
• u14 Mixed & u15 Girls Only  - 60 mins (2x 30 mins with 10min halftime period).

Pitch Dimension 70m x 50m (approx).

Goal Size  5m x 2m (approx).

Ball Size 

U12/U13 - Size 4 (match balls provided)

U14/U15 - Size 5 (match balls provided).

Substitutions Rolling substitutions, must be made with referees approval at stoppage in play.
